I feel this same frustration, that there are so many types of posts I'd like to explore, but what will people actually read? It's really hard to tell from a couple of likes here and there.

I'm starting to be suspicious that people don't really know what they want from us until they see it....or maybe that they want to see what we *want* to make for them? I'm not exactly sure, but I'm sort of suspecting that the making part comes before the narrowing down to what's popular part. Which feels super backwards, but I don't know how else to approach it!

I agree! It's even more challenging to go back and look at post opens and see one that got over 300 opens when I know I don't have that many subscribers! Then a whole new set of questions pop up...Who opened it that often? Who shared it, and where? And why? And how do I re-do that kind of article and tap into the success?

The love-hate relationship with stats!! That way madness lies. And yet, if we don't pay attention at all, we could miss out on what people really like.

Maybe we should just try to have fun?? Nyah....... 😉
