What is the most original magic system you've encountered in a work of fantasy, and what do you like about it?
In "Magic Inc." by Robert A. Heinlein, magic becomes a commodity to be bought and sold. (Typically, an American came up with that idea.)
I hope it’s not too cliche, but Brandon Sanderson’s Allomancy is pretty cool. I also always find myself thinking about Ged in Ursula LeGuin’s Earthsea series.
