Fantasy Friday Chat: Baggage, or Legacy?
Fantasy legends, novels, and short stories are overflowing with objects that have a history all their own. Some would say they come with their own baggage.
The first items that come to my mind are the Witchblade, Bilbo’s (and Frodo’s) One Ring (which was never really theirs), and of course, Excalibur all come to mind. Harry Potter's Cloak of Invisibility was another well-known item passed down through a family line.
Can you name any other objects in fantasy tales that carry a significant legacy as they are passed from one owner/bearer to the next?
